Photo taken by me.
Something about it makes me feel strange. Maybe because everyone seems to be counting down.
End of summer. Beginning of college.
Change.
It’s so close it’s almost tangible. Things are normal for now, but they won’t be for long. Change is just right around the corner.
And it’ll make you or break you.
I’ve been thinking:
Won’t this be the last time I actually live full time at this house with my family? Of course I’ll visit, but I heard that
sooner or later, home won’t feel like home anymore.
“Going home” turns into “visiting family”.
New friends. New experiences. A career. A husband (hopefully that’ll happen later than sooner).
A future
I’m excited about what lies ahead. I’m ready to put behind my past fully. I’m ready for change.
10 days :)
But remember:
”Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails."
Proverbs 19:21
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."
Romans 8:28
If time flies, then we're the ones chasing it away. Change is a wonderful thing and I'm ready to embrace the next few years of school in my life. But it's still more years of school... one step closer to the "real world." Haha, I think we'll have the most trouble transitioning at that point.
ReplyDelete:)
Oh, btw, that's a very Brandon Dahlberg-esque photo. I likes it.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Yeah, it reminded me of him.
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm ready to embrace it, too. I think I'll enjoy this school way more than high school. And even if it means getting closer to the real world, I won't see too much of it. I'll be paying attention to the crazies :P
